Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Certified in the state of Oklahoma with appropriate endorsements to teach at the elementary level.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prepare and execute lesson plans well in advance and manage classroom dynamics efficiently.

Position Overview:
The Lower Elementary Instructional Support Specialist will collaborate with the lead teacher to create a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment. This role is key to promoting student growth by supporting academic instruction, classroom management, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation of engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with developmental goals.
• Provide individualized or small-group instructional support to reinforce key learning concepts.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and critical thinking.
• Supervise students during activities and transitions, fostering positive interactions and safety.
• Prepare and manage learning materials, assisting with instructional organization.

Keep school building and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas neat and clean.

Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and order additional supplies as needed.
Maintenance and Repair

Maintain a program of preventive maintenance to ensure the comfort, health, and safety of students and staff.

Regulate heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide appropriate temperatures and ensure economical usage of fuel, water, and electricity.

Make minor building repairs as needed and report major repair needs to principal.

Move furniture or equipment within building as directed by principal.
Safety

Assume responsibility for opening the building each school day.

Establish procedure for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.

Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.
